Boxers and trainers should just stick to their job and stop talking like they are so sure but they always end up sounding very stupid in the end.

Bernard Hopkins:
“It could be a good, thrilling fight, but Oscar is sure to win, possibly by stoppage in the eighth or ninth round,”

“Pacquiao is quick, strong, exciting, he’s a hundred percent offense, but he’s easy to hit,”

Hopkins was right on the money with his prediction except that it was just the other way around. Pacquiao by TKO and De la Hoya is easy to hit.

Floyd Mayweather Sr:
“Listen, Oscar ain’t the quickest learner in this business, but he won’t need to know too much to beat Manny. He’s plain just too big.”

“Oscar is still a great fighter. He might be slower but I showed him how to throw a right hand after for years he just had a jab and a hook. And Manny, he just can’t fill out that frame. Of course he will be at the weight, but he will be fat at the weight. He can’t carry 147 pounds.”

It’s always interesting to know how the so called “experts” fared on their prediction on the “Dream Match” or mismatch as most of them say between Oscar De la Hoya and Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao, by the way, has just DEMOLISHED De la Hoya in every round until the 8th. On the 9th round… well, there was actually no 9th round. De la Hoya decided not to continue. Pacquiao by TKO.

It’s a cool gadget you wished it was invented as soon as cigarette was first produced. It works in such a way that the smoke coming out from smoking gets channelled back to the nose of the smoker. Both smoker and non-smokers win with this invention. Finally, the non-smoker doesn’t have to endure the cancer-causing smoke. On the other hand, the smoker now gets twice the value for one stick of cigarette.

4) house agents/swindlers (not all, I hope)

6) ‘unique’ bus smell and ‘efficient’ bus transportation
7) fried rice, spicy stingray, Pepper Lunch, Yoshinoya
our S$139 bed and a pillow, S$200 debt by the owner, noisy neighbors

It’s the place I and my wife lived in Singapore for a short time, 45 days to be exact. I will never forget this place not because it reminds me how cruel the world can be but because it can turn out to be a blessing in disguise we stayed there. As they say, you may not understand it now but everything happens for a reason. We never got comfortable. It gave us resolve we will go for our dreams without second thought.
